Volunteer Opportunities

St. Monica Catholic School Signup Sheets for Volunteer Opportunities

We rely on our valuable volunteers’ energy, creativity, and input, AKA amazing parents!

Below are many of the service opportunities currently available.

We encourage parents to volunteer and become involved. However, to ensure a secure school for our students, we require that parents complete “Safe Environment” training before serving in a volunteer capacity. The Archdiocese of Seattle mandates this training. Please visit https://www.virtusonline.org/virtus/ to complete the background check and signup for a class.

Service Commitment- All our families commit during registration to a minimum of thirty (30) service hours between July 1st and June 30th to the school. Service hours may be earned in school or parish activities.

  • Volunteer Hours are recorded in the Facts Family Portal, and opportunities are continuously added throughout the school year as we plan our Parent Club events.

Christmas Potluck & Gingerbread Contest Volunteer

Event Chairs: Haley Street and Olivia Lippens

DETAILS:

Volunteers needed to help before, during, and after the Christmas Event on Thursday, December 15, following the Christmas Concert, in the Family Center/Gym, for the time-honored tradition of the St. Monica Family Christmas Event!

We ask that families sign up to bring their favorite holiday dish to share in our Christmas Party Potluck! Signup is available in the Evite link.

Your dish can be a time-honored tradition that your family eats every Christmas, or it can be your grandmother's very best recipe passed down through generations. These dishes can be simple or extravagant, but they should all come from the heart.

Your special recipes will be placed on our community buffet table at the Christmas Party for everyone to enjoy and learn a little more about your family.
Please note, when you sign up, give us a detailed description of what you are bringing, as this will be displayed alongside your dish, and include your family name.

In addition to the potluck, kids will enjoy a hot cocoa bar, cookies, and crafts, as well as an opportunity to capture a Family Christmas photo with Santa in front of our mantel specially decorated by the House of Poise.  In addition, we will gather for the tree lighting, Christmas Carols, and a community blessing during the event.

Merry Fun!
