St. Monica Catholic School Signup Sheets for Volunteer Opportunities
We rely on our valuable volunteers’ energy, creativity, and input, AKA amazing parents!
Below are a few of the service opportunities available.
We encourage parents to volunteer and become involved. However, to ensure a secure school for our students, we require that parents complete “Safe Environment” training before serving in a volunteer capacity. The Archdiocese of Seattle mandates this training. Please visit https://www.virtusonline.org/virtus/ to complete the background check and sign-up for a class.
Service Commitment- All our families commit during registration to a minimum of thirty (30) service hours between July 1st and June 30th to the school. Service hours may be earned in the school or parish activities.
Opportunities will continuously be added as events are planned by our Parent Club.
CGS Atrium Flowers
Event Chair: Jeni Gould
DETAILS:
The Atrium is currently looking for support in the following areas.
Flower arranging is an activity young children can do in the Atrium. To support this work, we are asking families to donate bouquets of small fresh flowers on a weekly basis. Please sign up on the school website if you are able to help.
Our 1st grade children are ready to explore how God’s word reaches all people in all lands. In order to do this, we are looking for donations of Bibles in foreign languages. If you have a Bible in another language with which you are willing to part, we will happily give it a new home in the Atrium. Donations may be dropped off in the school office. Please label “For CGS”.
