Study Hall Rules & Guidelines
1. Students must arrive by 3:10 pm with all their materials.
2. Students must come with homework to do. If homework is finished early, students are expected to read or practice math skills, practice work will be provided if needed. This is not social time.
3. All students are expected to respect the rights of others. Students understand that they are here to complete homework and will allow others to complete their homework. 4. Use a respectful level of speaking voice at all times. 5. Copying is cheating and is not allowed. Your parents and teachers will be notified if you are caught cheating. 6. RESPECT the learning environment by keeping it clean. Clean up after yourself. 7. Cell phones may be used for research, as a calculator, or to listen to music, provided the student has ear buds or earphones. If students do not respect this rule, the phone will be taken and returned to the parent. The student will lose the privilege. 8. A parent or guardian must notify both the teacher in charge and the office in writing or email of any special circumstances regarding arrival time to study hall or dismissal from Study Hall. (Examples: permission to walk home, pick up by anyone that is not a parent or guardian, walking to the library, meeting a parent at an alternative point of pick up, any sports practices that the student will need to be dismissed early). It is the best practice to notify both the office the teacher in charge of any changes in the student’s schedule or pick up pattern. (Please understand that this is for the child’s safety.)
9. BE RESPECTFUL, BE PREPARED, BE PRODUCTIVE, BE SAFE.
