Short Term Remote Learning at St. Monica

Even during this unprecedented school closure, we are continuing to prioritize educating and supporting the whole child at St. Monica Catholic School. We continue to be steadfast in doing our part and, in our teacher’s minds, that means more than remote video lectures. It means being available for our students virtually every week. Just as Christ calls us by name, St. Monica Catholic School’s dedicated teachers call your child by name every day. They know each students’ strengths and opportunities for growth. They know where they are academically and where they need to be.

Do you know any parents saddened by the remote learning they are receiving from their local schools? Parents looking for more than just “enrichment” but actual lessons and discussions? We would like to invite them to enroll in our classes virtually and be a part of our learning community.

Beginning April 20, we will be offering Short Term Remote Learning for students not currently enrolled at St. Monica for the remainder of the school closure. We are excited to offer our incredible curriculum to students beyond our community desiring more education right now.

This program will include curriculum instruction and access to our live and/or recorded lessons at their current grade level for the remainder of the school closure mandate from Washington state. Each student will need to provide their own device to access our Microsoft Teams account. We will set-up a fully licensed Microsoft account for each student once they are enrolled. It is the responsibility of the child to participate and complete assignments daily and the parent’s responsibility to ensure the work is being accomplished. This is a great opportunity to audit our current classes. No final grades or transcripts will be provided.

Program Dates:

  • Registration Open: April 6-17
  • Spring Break, No classes: April 10, 13-17
  • Short Term Remote Learning Begins: April 20

Program Fee: $500*

*Includes $150 application and $350 program fee for the first child. Each additional child is $250 ($25 application and $225 program fee).

How to apply:

  1. Complete the Online Application
  2. Applicants will be sent a link for the Short Term Program to complete the enrollment.
  3. Once submitted students will be added to their specific homeroom class and contacted by their teacher for next steps.

Love the curriculum and the dedicated teachers. As a mom of four (all 9 and under!) I appreciate the self paced nature of this and that I can still work doing my full time job while they’re engaged!!!
