St. Patrick’s Breastplate
Christ with me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me, Christ in me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down, Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me.
I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
Through belief in the Threeness,
Through confession of the Oneness
of the Creator of creation.

St. Patrick

This magnificent saint who lived in the fifth century and whose feast day is celebrated by millions of people with merrymaking, never tasted beer (made popular by monks in Europe long after his death), and did not see potatoes (a New World food staple). As for leprechauns, well, we won’t go there. St. Patrick did use the shamrock to teach the pagan druids about the beauty and meaning of the Holy Trinity, and used his incredible power of persuasion and grace to convert thousands to the Christian faith. In honor of his feast day, the Archbishop has given a dispensation from Friday abstinence.

Thank You to Our Auction Volunteers

I want to thank all of our auction volunteers for the incredible work they’re doing to make it a successful and memorable event. It will be fabulous.

Samples of Classroom Desks and Chairs

Our auction Fund-a-Need ask this year is for new student desks and chairs. We’ve been researching the latest products, and we have samples for teachers, students and parents to check out in the school lobby. Feel free to stop by tomorrow to have a look. We will have these samples available for our auction guests to view on Saturday.

Pre-Registration Deadline, March 24

The pre-registration deadline is a week from this Friday. Thank you to all of our families who have pre-registered. We will notify you as soon as enrollment is ready to roll out.

Jump Rope for Heart

Thank you for participating in Jump Rope for Heart! You’ve helped raise nearly $2,000 for this worthy cause, and we have only one more week to go to raise more. Our school will receive a percentage of these proceeds to use for our PE program. The students have been working hard to hone their jump roping skills. Today I watched the Kindergartners practicing. They were adorable.

Faithfully yours in Christ,

Anca Wilson, Principal
