Parents ready to work to create, build, and grow our St. Monica Catholic School please consider being a member of our team of twelve. I already have several members of the team in place; but am looking to maintain twelve positions, if possible. I want to make sure every meeting reaches a quorum and is able to move forward each month with our action items. A group of twelve working together for the greater good of the community has some solid foundations in our Church’s history – so let’s work together to make light work of a focused and Christ-centered task.
Meetings are 1st Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 PM (first meeting will probably go to 8).
Oct. 4, Nov. 8 (NOT 1st Wed.), Dec. 6, Jan. 3, Feb. 7, Mar. 7, April 11 (NOT 1st Wed.), May 2, June 13 (NOT 1st Wed.).
Use this NOMINATION FORM to nominate yourself or possibly a member of the community you know has the right drive, motivation and connections to add to the conversation and help with the work load. Please turn in all nominations by this Friday so we can use them as a form of “election” as we are very close on time and can contact “elected” members to invite them to join.
Parents, please log into School Speak and update all of your information (address, phone number, work phone numbers, responsible people to pick-up your child/ren, allergies, etc.). This is necessary as we pull emergency reports from School Speak; if your child’s information is not current it could waste time in our attempt to reach you in the case of an emergency. Thank you!!
Please remind your children to NOT share lunch or snacks with one another – even if they think they know what is inside. As we have students with varying food allergies we want to make sure everyone is safe while enjoying their snacks and lunch. With students’ varied allergies we are not able to be an allergen free zone, students need to eat what has been packed for them or what is provided from our hot lunch provider, Little Toby. And if your child has allergies or restrictions, please remind them to not take any food from classmates or people at lunch. We have also instituted a new lunch procedure where children will be sitting with different friends on different days and might not be aware of someone’s allergies so it is very important that we only eat what is ours. I know this feels counter intuitive to our Christian values of sharing with one another but their safety is important.
