In Kindergarten, we have spent the first couple of weeks getting to know each other, meeting new friends, and learning new skills. In math, we are practicing our counting by coloring trains and building towers with colorful cubes. In writing, we have been learning how to write our letters h, l, b, and k using the Slingerland approach. In History, we have been discussing the meaning of history and how we can learn about history in our lives. In Religion, we have been learning about how God created everything true, good, and beautiful, and the meaning of faith, our virtue of the month.
Although things may have looked a little different these first couple of weeks, the children have been excited to see their teachers and friends, whether it has been virtually or safely socially-distancing in person.
